Home › Exterior Painting
Curb AppealFull repaints, siding, gables, and trim — prepped properly so the finish lasts through Carolina summers.
An exterior repaint is only as good as the prep underneath it. Every exterior job starts with scraping, sanding, and priming before a finish coat goes on — the same process whether we're covering board-and-batten siding, brick, or bare trim. Rotted boards get replaced before they're painted, not painted over.
Exterior work regularly includes porches, screened porch frames and rails, garage doors and gables, and shutters — not just the main wall surfaces. On one recent porch restoration, rotted boards were replaced and the porch was sanded and stained as part of the same visit, rather than being treated as a separate project.
Exterior work has also included painting roof shingles — smoothing lumpy shingles and coating older shingles with acrylic roof paint, a lower-cost alternative to tearing off and replacing them. If your roof looks dated but isn't due for replacement, ask whether coating is an option for your situation.
South Carolina summers are hard on exterior paint — heat, humidity, and UV all work against a finish that wasn't prepped correctly. “Vibrant Painting did a fantastic job on my porch and the rails on my back patio. He also put my new shutters up. I have found my forever painter.”
Dana W.Porch, rails & shutters · via Angi · May 2025“Vibrant Painting did an excellent job on two homes I needed painted with a quick turnaround. They were very responsive, met my requested timeframe, and were reasonably priced. I will definitely use them again.”
Matt M.Exterior — two homes · via Angi · August 2024“Wonderful! Some lumpy shingles were smoothed out, and the 20-year-old shingles were painted dark gray with acrylic roof paint. So much easier and less expensive than lifting tons of shingles up to the roof.”

Yes — porches, screened porch frames, garage doors, gables, and shutters are all part of typical exterior work, not add-ons.
In some cases, yes — we've coated aging shingles with acrylic roof paint as a lower-cost alternative to tear-off. Whether that's right for your roof depends on its condition, so we'd assess it in person.
